BRACE announced today that Carlos Rodriguez has joined the MMA promotion to further develop their interests in the growing market of Queensland. The sport, which is the fastest growing in the world, has seen an influx of participants, which Rodriguez says will continue to sustain the long-term vision for the promotion and its support of local talent.
“The sport is now recognised for it’s technical aspect, all you have to do is look at the attendance at any any local UFC event. Australia has produced some high profile names in the sport and I think the future is secure due to the increase of talent coming through. The amount of people taking it up and the support of followers for the local scene has really increased over the years. BRACE is giving that opportunity for fighters to showcase their talent through UFC Fight Pass,” Rodriguez said.
Kya Pate, CEO of BRACE commented, “For the last eight years BRACE has grown from a complete start up to a globally recognised brand. After 40 events in Australia and now expansion into New Zealand, I am actively looking for the right people to fill key leadership roles within our organisation.
“Today I am happy to welcome Carlos Rodriguez as the new General Manager for BRACE Queensland. Carlos has worked for our organisation on and off over the last few years and has shown a great passion for helping Australian MMA grow. I feel completely comfortable having Carlos oversee the operations in Queensland and I am excited for the future of our events within this state.”
The next event in Queensland will be BRACE 44 which is set to take place on the 8th October on the Gold Coast.
